Welcome to Urban Poling - Owen Sound

Urban Poling (also called Nordic walking) is a full-body workout that engages the arms, back, abdominals and legs. This combination promotes circulation, proper breathing and burns more calories than regular walking.

Urban Poling is for ALL ages and ALL fitness levels. You’ll love the aerobic benefits and muscle toning benefits that you experience.

Kerstin Daniel is a certified Urban Poling instructor who lives in Owen Sound, Ontario. She leads group classes from the community centre and other small groups.

"I love motivating individuals to get moving and having fun.  The fitness poles that athletes use to get in shape are the same poles that the every day person can also use to lose weight, build muscle and achieve the body that they desire. Every workout will be fun, challenging and motivating." - says Kerstin

What does walking with poles have to offer you?

  • Tones the hard-to-exercise core muscles
